👩‍💻 Developing with AI: What if it were as simple as adding a library? 🧑‍💻

📍Anvers (🇧🇪) / 🗣️ Anglais / 🗓️ mardi 6 octobre 2026 / ⏰ 9h30 - 12h30 / 🕒 3h

Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our applications can seem much more complex than simply using AI tools in our daily lives.
Do I need to learn a new language or adopt an entirely new technology stack?
In this workshop, we'll give you everything you need to integrate AI into your applications without leaving your favorite language: Java 😍. It will also be an opportunity to discover some of today's most popular frameworks, including LangChain4j, Quarkus, and more.

We'll explore every aspect of building applications with generative AI: customizing prompts, enriching models with your own data (RAG), calling local or remote tools (MCP), and creating agents.

By the end of this workshop, you'll leave with a practical toolbox that will enable you to easily integrate the power of AI models into your everyday development projects.
And to make things even easier, just bring your laptop and a web browser, we'll take care of the rest and provide a fully configured development environment through EasyLab 😍.

🧰 Dev Containers: the ultimate toolbox for developers?

📍Anvers (🇧🇪) / 🗣️ Anglais / 🗓️ mardi 6 octobre 2026 / ⏰ 16h50 - 17h20 / 🕒 30 minutes

At some point, we’ve all had to (re)install our entire development environment after switching machines.
Whether by choice or simply during on-boarding at a new company, a new mission,...
We’ve also all spent far to many hours figuring out which tools to install just to submit a PR or MR to an open source project.

And in many other situations, we quickly find ourselves facing the nightmare of configuring tools and frameworks when all we really want to do is what we love: coding.
And let’s not even get started on version updates and inter-dependencies 😅...

Fortunately, there is a solution to all these problems: dev containers.

During this tools-in-action session, I invite you to explore them with me.
The only thing I allow myself to install on my machine: Docker!
Everything else will be handled through configuration so that tools, frameworks, version management, and dependencies become a non-event in your development workflow.

You’ll leave knowing how to use dev containers and how to build your entire development stack as code.
